Paraiso Springs Tilapia is raised in the expansive waters of Lake Izabal and in spring fed ponds along Guatemala’s Rio San Pedro producing tilapia that is naturally sweet and succulent.
Spring Fed Ponds
Paraiso Springs’ farm in Peten is fed from springs that percolate through nearby limestone hills. Built on 200 hectares of farmland along the Rio San Pedro, Paraiso Spring operates a hatchery, nursery, grow out ponds and processing plant. By recycling the water through large reservoirs that serve as natural biofilters, Paraiso Springs creates minimal discharge into the environment.
